Jeff Hoffman called entrepreneurship the shovel you use to dig a path toward a brighter future. Truer words haven't been spoken. My speaking about entrepreneurship though is less about whether or not I have picked up that shovel as it is why I have. Like many aspiring employers, goals of living in a different zip code, driving a fast car, or not looking first at the prices on a menu were enormously inspiring.

When my mother and I moved to Florida out of financial necessity, my attitude changed. Acquiring possessions for ostensible selfish reasons faded into the background. My focus locked onto the ability to provide value to those in need - while also reclaiming sovereignty lost to the whims of the market.

Later on, these feelings became especially relevant during my process of choosing business associates. Associating with individuals who were out for profit at the expense of others was one of the worst decisions I ever made. If someone will sell out their fellow man for a dollar, make no mistake they will do the same to you when it is convenient. I learned that lesson firsthand.

I hold, that in the final analysis, my success will not be judged alone by the number I accrued in an account. No, my legacy will be the impact I leave on society's economic and social well-being.

My Ventures

Spectre Contracting

During the quarantine, I took up a penchant for reading biographies about captains of industry. In particular, what appealed to me was the physical building and management of hospitals. Having always believed that while information informs, experience transforms, I unwittingly started my first company, that summer. Two pallets brimming with four tons of flagstone and dozens of bags of cement, were ungracefully delivered to our home. Over the next four months, my days resounded with a cacophonous chorus of hammering, sawing, and the desperate creaking of an overloaded wheelbarrow. By the time it was all said and done, I had completed a twenty thousand dollar remodel for a fifth of the price. Work requests began to dribble in from neighbors and passersby alike. When the new jobs ran out, so did my ability to convince homeowners to sign a contract. That might have had something to do with my being fifteen, and the jobs encompassing hardscaping and electrical work.

RedLine Train

Fascinated by medicine and entrepreneurship, I started a philanthropic endeavor called RedLineTrain. After winning a state title in powerlifting, there was an overwhelming demand for insight and advice from young men in my network. Having never trained people before, I felt uncomfortable charging those who would be quasi guinea pigs. While my guinea pigs only experienced successful "experiments", I continued providing my services pro bono. That turned out to be an incredibly cathartic process. Having an opportunity to guide, mold, and direct from a leadership position, galvanized a belief best described by Adam Grant: "The most meaningful way to succeed is to help others succeed."

Palm Capital Associates

Palm Capital Associates (PCA), was founded in 2022 to meet the growing demands of retail investors for democratization in lower-middle market real estate. Utilizing an accelerated asset life-cycle, PCA filled the need of distressed property owners with liquid capital exits, and local investors with institutional-grade COCs. PCA's investment thesis was predicated on leveraging a broad spectrum of marketing channels across larger form content aggregators, focusing efforts on regions displaying strong upward trends in population growth and labor market requirements.
